Archi Tech is a technology based company specialising in 3D Environmental Data for the AEC and other similar industries. Our services include 3D Lidar Scanning, As-Built Architectural Services, Building Information Modelling and Environmental Assessments.
We are seeking an experienced 3D Laser Scanning Technician/CAD Draftsperson to support our diverse clients. The Technician will be required to perform 3D scanning, processing of scans (registration) and CAD modelling.

Responsibilities: - Perform 3D scanning using Leica & EinScan scanners - Post processing (Registration) of the 3D laser scan data - Perform point cloud analysis - As-built modelling & modifications (3D & 2D drawings) - Field visits including mobilizing and demobilizing the laser scan equipment - Review and evaluate request from clients - Point of contact and have responsibility for the activities, developments and issues concerning 3D scanning - Limited communication and interaction with our clients - Coordinating laser scanning tasks within a project - Assist in proposal preparation efforts - This position has field related responsibilities Requirements: - National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Architecture- Preferred Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in 3D Laser Scanning, post processing, analysis and modeling - 5 year’s experience in CAD and generating 2D/3D technical drawings - Comprehensive knowledge of laser scan equipment and its operations. - Familiarity Leica laser scan equipment and software; Preferred Software experience: Revit, AutoCAD, Cyclone, Recap - Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem solving and analytical skills. - Ability to perform physical labor, lift/carry and work from a prone or kneeling position. Understanding of BIM, building architecture and structures is vital. Salary will be competitive based on experience and suitability to job role You will work 40 hours per week, however, some flexibility is required to meet business needs from time to time. You must be able to attend a local interview in Cape Town to be considered for this role.
